RKM Swami Akhandananda Private ITI is a Unit of Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Sargachi, Vill: Sargachi, P.O –Sargachi Ashrama, P.S – Beldanga, Dist – Murshidabad – 742 408, West Bengal. The ITI offers an inspiring learning and industry aligned training through adequate modern resources with a vision to learn evolve and excel fostering ethics. The ITI empowers aspiring youth with skills relevant to industry requirement for employment or self-employment, bridging the gap between education and industry needs. The ITI also provide industry exposure through  industry visit for making the students industry ready. RKM Swami Akhandananda Private ITI offers one / two-year skills training in the multiple trades.


Common to every trade is training to enhance employability skills that includes soft skills, communication skills and basic computer knowledge.

ITI Electric Trade​​

ITI Electrician trade provides essential skills in electrical wiring (residential, commercial and industrial), home appliances, different electrical machines, lighting, electrical installations, safety requirements, maintenance and repair of different electrical infrastructures etc. Electricity is the driving force in present days’ modern world and there is a high demand for skilled electrician.

On passing, ITI Electrician Trade course students are open to diverse job opportunities in both private sector and government sector. This trade demands quality / reliability / safety and sustainability. The duration of the training program is 2 (two) years. For powering the future as a trained electrician, RKM Swami Akhandananda Private ITI is equipped with all requisite infrastructure.

 After completion of the training program, students will be able to understand:

  • Single Line Diagrams (SLD) of electrical system.  Various symbols required to represent  electrical system and equipment in the SLD.
  • Specifications to determine electrical circuit.
  • Repairs or replacement required for faulty  electrical circuit and to restore fault free  electrical system.
  • Installation details. Name Plate details. Earthing.
  • Safety aspects for electrical installations as per IS specification and code of practice.

ITI Fitter Trade

ITI Fitter trade provides practical, hands-on skills for assembling, installing, and maintaining machinery. The National Skill Development Corporation predicts the requirement of skilled fitter is expected grow by 25% in the coming years in the diversified field of mechanical manufacturing industry including vast automobile sector. The duration of the training program is 2 (two) years. Once taking the successful training in ITI Fitter trade students can choose various career paths.


Prerequisites

  • Knowledge in Basic Mathematics – Arithmetic, Algebra and Geometry
  • Knowledge of materials

  • During training students learn Fitting Tools, Allowances, Properties of engineering materials, Different manufacturing machines like Lathe, Drill machine, Shaping and Milling machine, welding, use of different hand tools.


    The institute is equipped with Lathe, Milling Machine, Shaping Machine, Drill Machine, Welding equipment, and different hand tools for imparting quality training.


     After completion of the training program, students will be able to understand:

    • Fabrication as per technical drawings and specifications.

    • Repair and maintenance of machines and equipment.

    • Machine operation as per technical drawings and specifications.

    ITI Mechanic Agriculture Machinery Trade

    The ITI Mechanic Agricultural Machinery trade training provides students to repair, maintain, and service farm equipment like tractors, harvesters, and pumps, covering engines, hydraulics, electrical, and modern tech like drones etc. for modern farming powering mechanization of farming. At the end of training program students can opt for jobs as farm technicians, service mechanics, or self-employed entrepreneurs in the growing farm mechanisation sector.


    The training course is a 2-year vocational course.


    Students who will be enrolled to undertake this trade will have plethora of hands on experience in modern farming as  Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Sargachi is having agricultural activities with focus on integrated rural development, promoting sustainable practices like vermicomposting, establishing farmer co-ops, installing small-scale mills (like dal mills), and providing training in organic farming (vermiculture), dairyl all aimed at uplifting local farmers through education, technology, and resource management within their extensive gardens and farms.

    ITI Leather Goods Maker Trade

    The prospects for leather goods / products and leather footwear makers in India are encouraging, driven by robust domestic and international demand. India is bestowed with an affluence of raw materials, skilled manpower, technology, and the dedicated support of the allied industries.


    ITI Trade in Leather Goods Maker provides training covering the following aspects:

  • Tanning using Chrome / Vegetable / Synthetic or Aldehyde Tanning
  • Post Tanning Processes
  • Finishing of Tanned leathers through processes like fat liquoring, buffing, and softening.

  • Grading and cutting of leather.

  • Product manufacturing that includes creative jobs like footwear making, purse / bag manufacturing, etc. This requires cutting, sewing, gluing, bonding leather & fabrics, pattern making and design.


  • The duration of training in this trade is 1 (one) year. At the end of training program students will be able

  • To select the appropriate leather and verify the characteristics of different fancy and finished leather following

  • safety precautions

  • To sketch and design various leather goods, identify hide and skin and make pattern, prepare pattern design

  • and cutting.

  • To apply sewing operation using appropriate techniques for assembling and manufacturing of cut edged articles coin, purse, key case and belt.

    comprehensive leather goods manufacturing units starting from tanning. The unit has leather processing machine, leather skiving and thickness machine, leather setting machine, leather buffing machine, embossing machine etc. to make quality finished leather products that starts from curing, soaking, liming, fleshing, de-liming, bating, pickling, tanning, splitting, shaving, dyeing, buffing, grading. Finished products include footwear, wallets, bags, jackets, caps, hand gloves etc. for selling in the markets.

    ITI Weaving Technician for Silk & Woven Fabrics Trade

    Weaving is one of the most fundamental operations in any textile industry that produces strong, durable, and versatile fabrics transforming yarn suitable for a wide range of applications in fashion, home furnishings, upholstery and industrial textiles. India’s textiles sector is one of the oldest and most vibrant sectors serving a wide spectrum of demand, from affordable mass-market apparel to niche high-value categories, both domestically and internationally.


    ITI Trade in Weaving Technician for Silk & Woven Fabrics provides training covering - 

  • Fiber identification. 
  • Loom setup and various kinds of Loom operation.
  • Yarn technology that includes Yarn preparation and understanding of different properties of yarn required for weaving.
  • Fabric analysis that provides analysing skill of  quality, durability of fabrics.
  • Pattern design.
  • Quality control.
  • Loom and machine maintenance  for the textile industry.

  • Duration of Weaving Technician for Silk & Woollen Fabrics trade under CTS is 1(one) year. After completion of training from this institute in the Weaving Technician for Silk & Woollen:

  • can join in industry as Technician
  • can become Entrepreneur in the related field 
  • can join Advanced Diploma (Vocational) courses under DGT as applicable

The students who will enrol for training in ITI Trade in Weaving Technician for Silk & Woven Fabrics can get firsthand on job experience in the textile manufacturing centre at Sevavrata under Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Sargachi. The center has state of art manufacturing machineries and also has the computerised design facility of fabrics.

    ITI Baker & Confectioner / Fruits and Vegetable Processing Trade

    ITI Trade in Baker & Confectioner / Fruits and Vegetable Processing is a non-engineering professional training course that provides practical, job-oriented skills for the robust and growing food industry in India and globally, along with  strong self-employment potential as India is the world’s second largest producer of food. Over the years with a dynamic approach, Baker & Confectioner / Fruits and Vegetable Processing sector has empowered rural entrepreneurs as the sector connects farming, manufacturing and trade.


    The Government of India, through the Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI), has implemented several schemes like Pradhan Mantri Kisan SAMPADA Yojana (PMKSY), Pradhan Mantri Formalisation of Micro Food Processing Enterprises (PMFME) to strengthen India’s food processing ecosystem, promote investment and create employment.


    The duration of the training program is 1 (one) year.

    Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Sargachi is already engaged in production of various food products in a quite successful manner including

    marketing and selling of such products. The activity encourages others in the community to pursue similar business endeavours to stand in their own feet. The products manufactured by are FSSAI compliant. A dedicated showroom near the main gate of the Ashrama is there for selling these products. Orders placed directly are delivered to customers.
